Scripture: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” — Psalm 37:7
Our default response to a problem is immediate action. When something goes sideways, we want to talk louder, push harder, and fix the issue right now. Silence feels like wasted time.
Yet deep work often happens in the quiet pauses. Standing still does not mean you are idle. It means you have stopped trying to manipulate the outcome and have decided to trust the process.
When you refuse to sit in the quiet, you usually end up making a mess out of panic. Learning to wait requires a deep trust that things are moving forward even when you cannot see the gears turning.
Reflect: Where are you currently forcing a solution out of anxiety rather than waiting for direction? What would it look like to step back and be still in that situation today?
