Growth is uncomfortable, which is why we often prefer to stay right where we are. It is entirely possible to be around truth for years while remaining entirely unshaped by it, clinging to basic concepts because deep work requires actual surrender.
Paul calls out the Corinthians not because they lacked information, but because they refused to mature. They were still stumbling over petty arguments and surface level friction because they had not allowed truth to prune their habits.
Maturity is not measured by how much you know. It is measured by how much of your daily behavior is actually governed by what you practice. Moving past the surface means letting truth dismantle the comfortable excuses you lean on.
