Scripture: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24
Every foundation is eventually tested. The rain falls, the floods come, and the winds beat against the structure. The test is never a question of if, but when.
The difference between a build that stands and one that collapses is not the severity of the weather. It is what the structure was anchored to before the storm arrived. Building on the rock is not glamorous work. It involves digging past the loose dirt of convenience and laying down solid principles when the weather is calm.
When the pressure hits, you do not have time to go looking for a foundation. You have to already be standing on one.
Reflect: What kind of foundation are you building your daily decisions on right now? Will it hold up when the unexpected pressure shows up?
